What is Tears?
Every face in front of the camera starts crying. The tears are placed from the eyes the detector actually finds, so they fall from the right spot on every face in the picture at once and keep falling as heads move, lean and turn. Each drop is sized from the measured gap between that face's eyes — somebody at the back of the room cries smaller tears than somebody leaning into the camera, instead of everyone getting the same blob.
There is no score, no timer and no way to lose; the only exit is Home, which makes it something you can leave running while a child pulls the saddest face they can manage. Drops fall under gravity with a little sideways wander so they are not straight rails, and fade out before they reach the floor. SPACE dries every eye at once. VIVID cries faster and in colour. It shares the face finder with Glasses, so the first run pulls a small model from a CDN — a few seconds of internet, then cached — and the tile is hidden entirely on a device whose browser cannot run it fast enough to be worth offering.
